Unlike other ancestry tests that report genetic similarity to modern day populations, the GPS Origins Ancestry Test focuses on physically tracing your ancestry, tracing your roots back up to about 1000 years from present day.
This biotracing technology allows our experts to pinpoint specific locations on the map. In some cases, we can even give you specific information about your ancestors’ island, town, or village.

Gene Pool Analysis: This is an extensive analysis of the 36 global gene pools our experts used to calculate your autosomal DNA’s genetic signature. Doing this allows us to link you to the specific areas or countries of your ancestors (e.g. Northern India, Southern France, Basque Country, Sardinia, etc.)
Gene Pool Percentages: This part of the report allows you to see your top 3 gene pools. The regions included in these gene pools are also highlighted in an interactive map.
Gene Pool Percentages – Complete Results: Aside from your top 3 gene pools, you will also receive a breakdown of all gene pool regions and the percentage affiliation.
Biogeographical Tracing Percentages: An interactive map will allow you to explore the parental routes of your ancestors and learn where and when they arrived at each time point.
Historical Information: This section of the report also provides a detailed explanation of your ancestors’ agricultural and historical background. Pertinent pieces of information are plotted on a map.
